I went to the quaint village of St. Ives where Oliver Cromwell spent some time and then we walked from there along the river and through the thicket to an even smaller village. Highlights included the old bridge with a chapel/ toll house in the middle, a carpet of wild snowdrops, and many thatched-roofed cottages. Spring is afoot!
The fire alarm went off today so we got to stand out in the cold while the safety officers donned their fluorescent vests and gathered around the meeting point sign. I sort of want to become a safety person because I will get to spray a fire extinguisher in the training.
