Tivoli Gardens amusement park. We had a beautiful stroll and went on the Flying Suitcase ride with animatronic depictions of Hans Christian Andersen's fairtales.

Vernazza

 

 

 

  

 

 

There was a devastating flood/ landslide in Cinque Terre last October. Vernazza was hit the hardest because the river flows directly through the town. They have rebuilt quickly, but there are still a few visible remnants of the devastation. It was my favorite town.

Corniglia

 

Corniglia is the only town of the Cinque Terre that is on the top of the hill.

My lovely room in Corniglia! I ate breakfast on the balcony and relaxed with some Jane Austen. In the evening, I could hear a band that was playing in the town piazza and saw a shooting star. It was like a dream. http://www.acasa5terre.it/corniglia.php#Cristiana%203
